Had a wonderful drive through New Orleans, soaking in the charm of Louisiana
and enjoying some delicious Cajun food along the way.
We made it all the way down to Venice, Louisiana for some great fishing
and were treated to the most amazing rainbows in the sky.
Feeling grateful for days like this and the simple blessings along the journey.

Venice sunsets, charming boat houses, fresh oysters, and crawfish—
just soaking in every moment of this special place.

Before the sun was fully up, we were already running offshore out of Venice, Louisiana—chasing yellowfin on a Freeman with the promise of an unforgettable day. The Gulf had other plans.
Three- to four-foot waves, with the occasional five-footer rolling through. Rain and thunderstorms chasing us across the water. Bait pushing through waves crashing on both sides of the boat as we pushed farther offshore. It was the kind of ride that reminds you the Gulf is always in charge.
But then it happened. Lines tight. Reels screaming. One after another… monster yellowfin tuna hitting the deck until we limited out!
Out there among the towering floating rigs, helicopters buzzing overhead, and boats working the water, you realize how alive the Gulf of America really is.
It was wild. It was challenging. It was absolutely unforgettable.
And every wave, every storm cloud, every mile offshore… was completely worth it.

Our first meal with our tuna!!!!
We had the best time exploring New Orleans!
From wandering through the French Quarter and Jackson Square
to enjoying beignets at Cafรฉ Du Monde. Staying at the Royal Sonesta and
strolling down Bourbon Street made the trip even more memorable.
Such a wonderful time in New Orleans!
