Holocaust Museum
Holocaust museum fishing boat rescuers took jews to denmark 7-8 at a time hid in bottom saved over 7000.
Inside train car constructed 1942, year my dad born, in 1943 my grandpa was drafted to go to germany with american soilders to start to free the jews from concentration camps, I have war photos from him in germany and the photo they took at there house, my grandma, grandpa, and dad at one before he had to go. My grandfather hated war did not want to go.
Outside train car. Over 120,000 people in these cars when they made it to camps the number count 87. Unbearable conditions.
No pictures could be taken inside. This is a free museum and important piece of history to help us appreciate everything we are and our family we never know when everything can be taken away. It is important for older audiences to see this piece of history to learn how to live together and be giving and thankful.
I feel very passionate about not judging, hating, and not being racist. Learning to love and live together in harmony and accepting everyone.
My grandfather did not talk about war much but he did remember seeing piles of bodies he had to go around the corner through up and was crying from what he saw. It was sad for me to realize my grandpa had to see this. I never realized till yesterday the reality and inhumanity that he witnessed and it broke my heart to realize what he had to see. He is not here now but the box of photos he gave me before he died have a whole new meaning of the war in germany. It is important for adults to see this and learn the importance of living together in harmony and keep balance. If you go make sure to watch the video of the older people who were survivors alot children at the time. It is so important to learn from history.
